No Recourse to Public Funds

No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) is a term used to describe the situation of people who are not entitled to financial support from the UK government, including housing assistance, income support, and most other types of benefits. Unfortunately, many women in the UK are in this situation, facing significant challenges as a result.

Women with no recourse to public funds may include those on spousal visas or who have overstayed their visas. They may also include those who have fled from abusive partners and cannot access support due to their immigration status.

Without access to financial support, these women are often left without a safe place to stay, food to eat, or the ability to care for their children. They may also struggle to access healthcare or legal support.

At Hull Sisters, we support women with no recourse to public funds. We provide a range of services to help them, including food parcels, emergency funds, legal advice, and access to healthcare.
