Hull Sisters stands alongside women, girls and children at times when they may feel unable to speak for themselves or unsure where to turn. Through timely, confidential, and non-judgmental support, the organisation responds to a wide range of complex and sensitive issues, including violence, abuse, trafficking, honour-based violence, poor physical and mental health, disability, social isolation, hate crime, bullying, harassment, and other challenges that impact wellbeing.

Support is offered with patience and understanding, recognising that every woman, girl and child’s journey is different. Whether someone is not yet ready to speak out or has reached a point where they want to take action, Hull Sisters provides a safe and trusted space where voices can emerge at their own pace.

Advocacy is a central part of this work. Many women and young people ace barriers when trying to access services or communicate their needs, particularly where language, confidence, fear, or past experiences create obstacles. Hull Sisters helps bridge this gap by advocating on their behalf and supporting engagement with services such as social services, schools, the police, healthcare providers, housing services, and other authorities.

Campaigning is also an integral part of the organisation’s work. Hull Sisters works in collaboration with regional and national organisations to challenge and raise awareness of the inequalities and issues that disproportionately affect women, girls and children. Through these partnerships, the organisation seeks to influence change, amplify women and children's voices, and address systemic barriers that impact their safety, wellbeing, and opportunities.

Alongside advocacy, holistic support is provided to address the realities of women and girl's lives. This includes guidance and assistance around domestic abuse, accommodation and housing, medical access, immigration matters, welfare concerns, hate crime correspondence and official documentation, forced marriage, trafficking, disability, long-term health conditions, harassment, poverty, isolation, and issues affecting children and families.

At the heart of Hull Sisters is a strong reputation for creating a safe, welcoming, female only environment where trust, dignity, and respect are upheld. Women and girls are able to speak openly, knowing they will be listened to, understood, and supported without judgment.

Those in need of support are encouraged to visit the centre or make contact for a confidential conversation, with reassurance that they will be met with care and compassion at every step.
