On 15 October 2021, BBC Look North featured Hull Sisters to celebrate a major milestone in our mission to support local women.
The broadcast highlighted the granting of a dedicated safe space by Hull City Council, designed specifically to serve Black and minoritised women across Hull. For many in our community, finding an accessible, welcoming environment free from barriers is essential for rebuilding confidence, accessing vital services, and fostering connection.
BBC Look North’s coverage brought much-needed visibility to the daily challenges minoritised women face and emphasized the collective effort required across our city to ensure everyone has a safe place to turn. Hull Sisters remains deeply committed to expanding this foundation and creating lasting change throughout the local area.
